BRAND + COMMUNICATIONS
For Organizations at an Inflection Point.
I find the essential idea and see what it changes.
Brand, communications, customer experience, partnerships and growth rarely operate independently. I help organizations see the whole, decide what matters, and determine what should happen next.
Sometimes it’s not the steps you take. It’s the order you take them in.
What I Actually Do.
I listen beyond the stated assignment.
I look across the organization to understand what it's really trying to accomplish, what is getting in the way, and which decisions are affecting one another.
Sometimes the answer is a brand strategy. Sometimes it's a clearer story, a customer experience, a launch, a partnership or a campaign.
The deliverable depends on what the opportunity actually requires.
The Questions I Ask.
What are we really trying to accomplish?
Are we solving the right problem —
or simply the one we were handed?
What are we treating separately
that is actually connected?
Can the organization support
the promise we're making?
What will this decision make possible —
and what might it make harder?
What needs to happen first?
The Reason I Ask Them
Strategy is only useful if it works in the real world.
I don't just develop the strategy. I know how to make it real — from finding the story and shaping the voice to creating content people actually want to engage with, building experiences and developing communications that put it into the world.
Where I’ve Done It.
THE WORTHY COMPANY
Co-Founder + Chief Communications Officer
Built a consumer brand and its communications alongside the business itself, translating a new-to-market product for consumers, retailers and investors. Developed the brand voice and turned it into content, PR, partnerships and experiences designed to make an unfamiliar product understandable — and worth caring about.
RIDGEFIELD GUILD OF ARTISTS
Director of Business Development + Special Events
Connected communications, fundraising and community engagement to strengthen the organization’s visibility and reach, including securing a $50,000 grant and helping Art Walk generate more than $14,000 in artist sales.
BLUE KEEL
Senior VP of Business Development + Communciations
Helped reshape the firm’s language around how entrepreneurs with uneven income actually experience financial planning, moving the work beyond a website rewrite toward a clearer expression of the company’s value — and a better understanding of the audience it serves.
MEALS ON WHEELS RIDGEFIELD
Board Leadership + Content Strategy
Built an organic content strategy around the people, food and small moments that connect the organization to its community. Created and tested content, formats and cadence, using performance data and local partnerships to understand what people actually engage with and build a repeatable approach others can carry forward.
A Little About Me.
I came to this work from more than one direction.
I'm a former lawyer, founder and communications executive. I've worked across consumer brands, financial services, arts and culture, advocacy and nonprofit organizations — experiences that taught me to look beyond a discipline and understand how decisions affect the whole.
That range shapes the way I work. I bring a founder's understanding of what it takes to build something, a lawyer's instinct to question assumptions, and a communicator's ability to find the idea that other people can understand and act on.
