BRAND + COMMUNICATIONS

For Organizations at an Inflection Point.

I find the essential idea and see what it changes.

Brand, communications, customer experience, partnerships and growth rarely operate independently. I help organizations see the whole, decide what matters, and determine what should happen next.

What I Actually Do.

I listen beyond the stated assignment.

I look across the organization to understand what it's really trying to accomplish, what is getting in the way, and which decisions are affecting one another.

Sometimes the answer is a brand strategy. Sometimes it's a clearer story, a customer experience, a launch, a partnership or a campaign.

The deliverable depends on what the opportunity actually requires.

The Questions I Ask.

What are we really trying to accomplish?

Are we solving the right problem —
or simply the one we were handed?

What are we treating separately
that is actually connected?

Can the organization support
the promise we're making?

What will this decision make possible —
and what might it make harder?

What needs to happen first?

Where I’ve Done It.

MEALS ON WHEELS RIDGEFIELD
Communications + Content Strategy
Built a repeatable approach to social media that connects the organization more closely to its community, using performance data and local partnerships to shape what it shares, where it shares it and why.

A Little About Me.

I came to this work from more than one direction.

I'm a former lawyer, founder and communications executive. I've worked across consumer brands, financial services, arts and culture, advocacy and nonprofit organizations — experiences that taught me to look beyond a discipline and understand how decisions affect the whole.

That range shapes the way I work. I bring a founder's understanding of what it takes to build something, a lawyer's instinct to question assumptions, and a communicator's ability to find the idea that other people can understand and act on.
